SGP interlayer is very stiff, is 5 times stronger than pvb film. Even if glass is broken, sgp laminated glass can support the whole piece of glass to stand upright, but not fall down as pvb laminated glass.
Also, SGP interlayer has perfect performance on translucent and weather resistance. After years installation and application, it will still keep good performance and won’t change yellow.
Eastman company also has similar product: DG41.
